According to this article, ticket sales on the the street in Minnesota haven't seemed to jump much despite now being legal. The article mentions that perhaps sales would be better if the teams were better, but also that the greatest competition is from online brokers. With guarantees like the one from Coast to Coast, that doesn't seem too much of a surprise! Why buy a Minnesota Twins ticket from someone on the street, knowing that you could get to the gate with a fraudulent ticket and turn around only to find them gone and with no recourse for getting your money back -- when you could order them online and have them in your hands in a day with overnight shipping, and know that the ticket will be good, or you'll get a full refund? Low sales on the streets don't seem like that much of a mystery after all!
